Select each side of the lamp and space it apart from the rest.
At this point, the design should look somewhat like the third image, depending on your original design. All of the pieces should be visible.Įven if all of your design fit into the box, under the Object tab, press Ungroup until every single movement that will be made by the laser cutter is highlighted. If the lines don't come out the box, select Object-Mask-Release. If your design doesn't fit in the box, select the area so that the box has a dashed line around it. If it doesn't, read the steps below, if it does, skip it.
The design most likely will not fit in the box. Choose the file pattern.pdf, your design should show the shade of your lamp you want to make. (You may need to force quit the application and open it again) Under the tab File, click Open, and select the file in the Processing folder. Press the save button in Processing, and open up Inkscape. After making the design you want, you need to convert it to Inkscape.
